What is hemp derived CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of more than a 113 identified active compounds found in the hemp plant. CBD has been shown to help balance your mind and body by aiding in the body's self regulating, homeostatic process. CBD has been shown to possess a wide range of therapeutic effects like anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory, mood boosting, pain relief, and sleep aid. Cannabidiol differs from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in which it does not cause the associated "high" effect of marijuana.
Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum
Both full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD refers to hemp extract that uses the whole plant, meaning both preserve a wide spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes (responsible for aroma) that are naturally found in the hemp plant. The key difference is full spectrum contains less than 0.3% of THC, whereas broad spectrum contains zero THC.
Both independent studies and preclinical research have shown that whole plant, CBD-rich hemp extract, is more effective at much lower doses as well as contains more therapeutic results than just CBD isolate alone, which is just a singular extracted compound. Here at Runi, we offer products that use both broad and full spectrum as we believe a diverse cannabinoid and terpene profile offer the greatest therapeutic benefits.
Is CBD legal and will it show up on a drug test?
Hemp derived cbd is legal in all 50 states, so long as the THC content doesn't exceed 0.3%. The amount is so small that you will not feel any associated THC effects, and it isn't likely it would show up on a drug test. However it possible to show a false positive, similar to what consuming a large amount of poppy seeds would show. For individuals that are concerned due to employer requirements, we reccomend you look at our products that use broad spectrum cbd.
What is a cannabinoid?
A cannabinoid is an active chemical compound that acts on the endocannabinoid system. There are three different types of cannabinoids.
Phytocannabinoids-cannabinoids produced by plants.
Endocannabinoids- cannabinoids produced by all humans and animals that help regulate our body through our body's endocannabinoid system.
Synthetic Cannabinoids- artificially manufactured cannabinoids create in labs.
What is the best way to take your hemp oil?
Taking Runi hemp extract formulas sublingually, or under the tongue, allows the greatest absorption for active compounds. This is because the tiny capillaries underneath our tongues and in our cheeks and gums are very thin, making it relatively easily for the compounds to be absorbed into your body. Holding it underneath your tongue for at least 30 seconds to a minute will have a stronger effect vs. than swallowing it right away. However you can also add it to your favorite food or drink. You can expect to feel the therapeutic benefits anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the individual's body. Effects can last from 4-6 hours dependent on one's metabolism.
How much CBD should I take?
Dosing is one of the most frequently asked questions by new CBD users. The truth is there is no right answer as everybody's bodies are different and what works for one person, may not work for another. Determining the right dosage for you is all about patience and trial. We always suggest to start small, and then work your way up until you achieve the desired benefit. You may need to periodically adjust your dosage as your body becomes accustomed to the lower doses.
